Peter Carpelan was a Councilor in Stockholm County Council (Region Stockholm), until 2019. He was then responsible for research, development and education as well as the County Council’s central employer issues. Before that, Peter was a Municipal Councilor and Chairman of the municipal executive board in Ekerö Municipality for 16 years.

In his role as a leading politician within the Moderate Party, Peter has a wide network of contacts in politics and on the civil service side as well as extensive knowledge of the future development in the Stockholm region.

Peter Carpelan is a lawyer and former chamber prosecutor at the Swedish Economic Crime Authority in Stockholm. He has had a number of different board assignments linked to the municipalities in Stockholm County, such as Vice Chairman of Södertörns Fire Servic Association, Board Member of Roslagsvatten AB and Board Bember of the Regional Structural Fund Partnerships.
